GW Pre-College courses provide an enriching opportunity for academically-motivated high school students to experience college life while challenging themselves to rigorous coursework at a top research university. Our location in Washington, DC offers unparalleled opportunities for students to connect theory with real word applications. Our programs attract students from across the country and around the world. Courses are taught by GW’s renowned faculty and field experts. Residential and commuter options are available.

College Intensive (for-credit)

Pre-College students listen to a class lectureThe College Intensive program is comprised of credit-bearing undergraduate courses.

Rising juniors and seniors may enroll in 6-week, 3-week, or 1-week courses in a variety of fields such as political science, biomedical engineering, media & journalism, business, the humanities, and more.

Rising seniors may also enroll in the 6-week online option.

 

Summer Immersion (non-credit)

Biomedical Engineering students engage in a lab exerciseThe Summer Immersion program offers two sessions of experiential non-credit courses to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Students may enroll in one course per session.

The university reserves the right to cancel courses if minimum enrollments are not met, in which case other course options may be offered or a refund will be issued. While credit-bearing courses are typically transferrable to other institutions, please check specific university policies.
